It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time a judge of the United States District Court has ordered the Trump government to halt its restrictions on TikTok. In September of this year, three TikTok online celebrities sued the Trump government and the US Department of Commerce out of concern that the ban on TikTok would impact their livelihood. Although the initial appeal was denied, the three Internet celebrities won the lawsuit after making a second appeal with changed reasons. Judge Wendy Beetlestone of Pennsylvania rejected the original restrictive measures, which were set to take effect on November 12, at the end of October this year.
In a statement provided to Tech Crunch, a representative from TikTok expressed their satisfaction with the court's decision to grant a preliminary injunction against multiple government restrictions. They emphasized their dedication to cultivating TikTok as a platform for millions of American users, serving as a vital means of self-expression, connection, and genuine happiness for both families and small businesses.
